David J. Goldberg, MD, JD
Dr. Goldberg earned his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his dermatology residency and dermatologic surgical fellowship at New YorkUniversityMedicalCenter. He has served as President as well as Chairman of both the Ethics and International Committees of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Goldberg was the first ever recipient of the ASLMS Leon Goldman award named after the founder of laser medicine. He is past Chair of the Ethics Committee of both the AmericanAcademy of Dermatology and the American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery. He has also been a member of the board of directors of both ASDS and ISDS. He was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Dermatology and as Secretary to the Board of Directors of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Goldberg is a Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Director of Laser Research of NY’s Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is also Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Chief of Dermatologic Surgery at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School He has published over 125 peer-reviewed manuscripts and is author of books on Laser Hair Removal; Ablative and Non-ablative Skin Rejuvenation; Photodamaged Skin, Complications in Cutaneous Laser Surgery, and most recently Dermal Fillers in Dermatology . Dr. Goldberg has performed pivotal research studies in the areas of laser hair removal, non-ablative skin treatments, dermal fillers and new botulinum toxins. He is on the editorial boards of the Lasers in Surgery and Medicine and Dermatologic Surgery. He is current Senior Chief-Editor of the Journal of Cosmetic and Laser Therapy. Finally, Dr. Goldberg is an attorney having graduated from NY’s Fordham University School of Law where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law and teaches a course entitled “Advances in Health Care Law.”
Krystie P. Lennox, PA-C
Krystie P. Lennox PA-C has a passion for education, evident in both her accomplishments and initiatives in the field of aesthetic medicine. She is a practicing physician assistant, trainer and consultant with more than a decade of expertise spanning aesthetics, skin care, laser and related products and services.
Ms. Lennox is the founder and co-director of the Aesthetic Extender Symposium, a conference designed to educate aesthetic physician extenders in cosmetic dermatology procedures, as well as the latest laser technologies. Ms. Lennox is also an aesthetic practice consultant through Lennox & Associates, LLC, as well as a laser instructor and consultant for Sciton and trainer on Allergan and Galderma products. She is a frequent lecturer, having spoken at conferences by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), Galderma, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), the International Master Course on Aging Skin (IMCAS), The South Beach Symposium and the Cosmetic Dermatology Seminar.
Ms. Lennox has authored numerous articles, published in leading medical journals, including Drugs in Dermatology, Cosmetic Dermatology, Journal of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Journal of Dermatology for Physician Assistants, Plastic Surgery Pulse and Skin & Aging. In conjunction with plastic surgeon, Dr. Jason N. Pozner, and dermatologist, Dr. David J. Goldberg, she wrote a chapter on "Intense Pulsed Light" for Elsevier, a world-leading provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services. She also served as a Cosmetic Dermatology Department writer for Advance for Physician Assistants news magazine for years. Throughout her career, she has also contributed to clinical research by assisting respected physicians to study the safety and efficacy of a wide array of treatments.
Recognizing the tremendous opportunities for providing information through digital media, in 2011, Ms. Lennox developed the "Wrinkle Relaxers" smartphone application. The innovative app educates clinicians and enables consumers to make informed decisions about Botox®, Dysport® and Xeomin®, the three botulinum toxins currently available.
Among her many honors, she was recognized with the ASLMS Nursing/Allied Health Excellence Award by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery in 2010 for outstanding contributions and the advancement of joint practice in laser medicine and surgery.
Ms. Lennox currently works with a team of clinicians at Sanctuary Medical Center in Boca Raton, Florida. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Medical Sciences from Barry University and is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants.

Jason Pozner M.D., FACS can truly claim aesthetic surgery and skin care as his life’s work. Ilanit Samuels, PA-C, MCM
Ilanit Samuels, PA-C, is a physician assistant who was born and raised in Miami Beach. She is a licensed physician assistant by the Florida Department of Health and certified by the National Commission of Physician Assistants. Ilanit obtained a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Biology with honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Yeshiva University in 2003. She then went on to graduate with a Masters of Clinical Medical Science from Barry University. Ilanit has been a physician assistant to Dr. Leslie Baumann at the Baumann Cosmetic and Research Institute since 2009. She is an expert in toxin and filler injections, lasers and skin tightening procedures. Ilanit has also served as a trainer and lecturer for companies such as Suneva Medical, Merz, and Allergan.
Tanya Patron, PA-C
Tanya Patron, PA-C is the lead Physician Assistant with Miami Plastic Surgery and MPS Med Spa with 3 locations located throughout Miami, Florida. While studying at Barry University’s PA Program, Tanya launched the school’s first Plastic Surgery rotation, where she met, and studied under Drs. Carlos Wolf and Michael Kelly.
Tanya is a member of ASLMS (American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery) and APSPA (Association of Plastic Surgery Physician Assistants) as well as AAPA and FAPA.
Tanya helped launch the first Facebook LIVE for the practice and plays a major role in working with local bloggers and influencers to help educate the public on aesthetics procedures. She also continues to film for educational videos for her patients and colleagues for both YouTube and other social media outlets.
She enjoys educating and sharing her knowledge and techniques with others as well as learning new and innovative ways to help bring recognition to all aesthetic extenders. She has attended the Aesthetic Extender Symposium since she was a student, and continues to stay on top of the newest aesthetic techniques and learning from her experiences and mentors.
Leslie Baumann, M.D.
Leslie Baumann, M.D. founded the University of Miami Cosmetic Medicine and Research Institute in 1997- the first academic institute in the US dedicated to cosmetic dermatology. She served as Professor of Dermatology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine until 2006 when the Institute became independent from the University and the name changed to the Baumann Cosmetic and Research Institute.
Dr. Baumann is the author of 3 bestselling books: Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice (McGraw-Hill 2009), Cosmeceuticals and Cosmetic Ingredients (McGraw Hill 2014), and The Skin Type Solution (Bantam 2005).
Dr. Baumann has been involved in the Phase 3 FDA clinical research trials of the most notable products procedures in cosmetic medicine including Botox®, Dysport,® Emervel®, Juvederm®, Kybella® Restylane Silk®, Sculptra®, and Voluma®.
She earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine. She is a board certified dermatologist, member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and a Fellow of the prestigious American Dermatological Association (ADA).
Michael Gold, MD
Dr. Michael H. Gold is the founder and medical director of Gold Skin Care Center, Advanced Aesthetics Medical Spa, The Laser & Rejuvenation Center, and Tennessee Clinical Research Center in Nashville, TN. He is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon and oversees the various facets of the center's operations — a combination of medical and surgical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, aesthetic services and research endeavors which began in 1990. Dr. Gold has earned worldwide recognition for providing patients with leading-edge technological advances in dermatology and aesthetic skin care. He plays an integral role in the development of new pharmaceutical products and medical devices through his clinical research, and presents the results regularly at national and international dermatology and cosmetic meetings. Dr. Gold has authored over 300 published scientific articles, 28 textbook chapters, and has edited 2 textbooks on Photodynamic Therapy. In addition, Dr. Gold helped establish the Tennessee Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (TSLMS), a group of health care providers interested in the distribution of information and proper training for those in the cosmetic arena. The TSLMS puts on an annual meeting known as SCALE, or Symposium for Cosmetic Advances & Laser Education, now in its 12th year. Charles Runels, MD
Before medical school, Dr. Runels worked as a research chemist. After medical school, he contributed to peer-reviewed scientific publications in the areas of hypertension, endocrinology, immunology, sexual medicine, & dermatology. His professional organizations include the Association of Clinical Research Professionals & the Cellular Medicine Society (which he founded). In cosmetic medicine, he designed a specific way of using growth factors to rejuvenate the face (Vampire Facelift®). His recent research involves urinary incontinence and sexual function in both men and women--resulting in his development of the O-Shot® and the Priapus Shot®. He’s trained hundreds of physicians in over 20 countries.
