The Aesthetic Extender Symposium is an annual educational conference aimed to educate and train an audience of aesthetic physician extenders by providing innovative education on the newest therapies, technologies and procedures in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, aestheticians and physicians are encouraged to attend.
The exact number of continuing education credits will be determined once the agenda is finalized. Generally, the symposium offers between 15-20 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM and 15-20 contact hours for nurses. There will also be additional workshops for a separate fee that will provide more CME/CE credit.
Hands-on training will be offered during workshops held in conjunction with AES for a separate fee. The number of attendees for the hands-on workshops are limited thereby offering an intimate learning experience for participants.
Attendees must be licensed in the state of Florida or in a compact state to participate in the hands-on portion of the workshops. If an attendee is not licensed in the state of Florida or a compact state, they may observe the course without injecting. Nurse Practitioners, Physicians Assistants and Nurses must submit an authorization form, signed by his/her supervising physician, in order to participate in the hands-on portion of the course.
Attire is business casual. The meeting rooms tend to be cool, so attendees are encouraged to bring a jacket or sweater while in sessions.
AES workshops are non-refundable and non-transferable. For the main AES Meeting, a cancellation fee of $200 will be charged for cancellations only if received 30 days prior to the start of the Symposium.
