Alan J. Durkin, MD, MS

Dr. Durkin was born in Chicago, IL. He graduated fourth in his class from Seabreeze Senior High School in Daytona Beach, FL, and received a full academic scholarship to the University of Miami. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami and initially pursued a career in applied physics. He received his Master’s Degree in Radiation Physics from the Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences in Chicago, IL, but then realized that his true passion rested in the practice of medicine. He then matriculated into the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine with the intention of pursuing a career in the surgical arts. He immediately gravitated towards Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery because of its ability to enhance quality of life, and because of its succinct attention to detail.
